Road to Bethleham 2012
The Road to Bethlehem Advent Liturgy is based on the traditional English Ceremony of Nine Lessons and Carols.
The ‘lessons’ are short readings from the Old and New Testaments that narrate the events of Christian salvation – from the Prophecy of the Messiah to the birth of our Saviour and beyond.
It is a wonderful evening of music and contemplation in preparation for Christmas. Come on the Road to Bethlehem with all the family!
7.30-9.00pm Supper follows.

Jesus, holy and beloved,
hold me always in your
‘yes’. Give me your trust in
our Loving Father when I,
too, am swamped in
darkness and pain. Give
me your strength to love
God with all my heart,
soul, life, and to love my
neighbour as myself.
Empty me of pride, power
and self-deceit and fill me
with humility, openness,
honesty. Thus, dear
Jesus, within this gift of
my life, make me like you,
holy and beloved and
living a life of ‘yes’, to
your Father and my
Father. Amen.
